Psychedelic Integration

The psychedelic experience can be incredibly meaningful, but it is not an end in itself. The real work comes with integrating the experience into everyday life."

- Rick Doblin, founder of Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS)

Psychedelic integration supports the processing of profound realizations from mystical or challenging experiences to help to translate epiphanies and embed perceptual shifts into daily living. It means dedicating time to make sense of visions, lessons, and newly accessible neural pathways revealed in expanded states.

This category includes therapists who specialize in preparation, harm-reduction, integration support and education for psychedelic and other experiences of non-ordinary states of consciousness.

Gavrila Connected Roots Therapy

  • The medicine is only half of the journey. While it is so powerful to have a psychospiritual experience, what makes it life changing is anchoring the insights into daily life.

Likely on your journey, you experienced a different perspective or received guidance in one way or another. The neuropathways that develop during a medicine journey are much shallower than our every day habitual neuropathways. Because of this, post journey, we want to nurture and cultivate these new and tender neuropathways. In integration work, we will re-establish and ground what was learned and find ways to continue deepening these grooves in daily life.

Integration sessions post journey (medicinal or transformational in nature) are recommended. Sometimes one is sufficient; however, multiple may be beneficial to fully integrate.
