Doulas are non-medical professionals who offer support, guidance and advocacy for people experiencing major life transitions, such as birth and death. Doulas are guardians of the space, nurturing the physiological and emotional processes and deeply understanding the spiritual significance of these experiences.

  • I am Dr. April “CoraLuz” Bolding, PT. I have been a certified birth doula and childbirth educator for 25 years in Seattle, WA. I’m grateful to be here now in Nevada County. It has been my honor to prepare and accompany so many to the birth portal. I believe in birth and those who are giving birth. I believe less is more.     I am co-author of the internationally known book "Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Newborn" with childbirth pioneer Penny Simkin, PT.     I have death doula training and have been guardian at the portal in many different ways. I am also a Wedding Officiant, helping curate and do commitment ceremonies in the way my clients desire to.

    I also facilitate transformational ceremonies, retreats, workshops and circles to bring through Heaven on Earth frequencies and help people remember who they are. I am a guardian of birth and re-birth in all its forms.

Caroline • Birth Doula

  • I offer doula services which cover prenatal appointments where I educate and help you prepare for birth. Support during labor and delivery at home, hospital, or birth center.  I have different packages, and accept Medi-Cal/Partnership insurance plans as well. 

  • Placenta medicine/encapsulation services. Options of capsules, and tincture and salve add ons. 

  • Closing of the Bones Ceremony (La Cerrada) which is typically done about 40 days after giving birth, but can be done any time, even years after giving birth. Not only limited to giving birth, but can be done after miscarriage, abortion, or any type of major life change or transformation (change of career, end of relationship, before embarking on something new in your life, etc). Includes yoni steam, body oiling, and the Cerrada itself. I learned from one of my teachers, Maria Maldonada who is an autonomous midwife in Colombia.

  • Kendall is passionate about the womb, about the deep mystery and powerful initiation of birth, and letting these times bring us into deeper connection with ourselves, our loved ones, and spirit.

    Her approach is integrative - blending backgrounds in Functional Medicine, energy work & somatic therapies, massage & pelvic care, and birth & postpartum support.

    She is a birth and postpartum doula, with a trauma informed background and a personal passion for herbs, cooking nourishing foods (think easy to digest, warming, nutrient-dense), hormonal health, and relaxing experiences.

    I support families with terminally ill loved ones, who’ve needed support for caregiver, and ailing one. One of the most poignant times of life to be supported, held, and heard, is at these moments.

    I offer spiritual healing, cranial sacral, reiki, and therapeutic body work to provide relief - lessening the necessity of medication for optimal comfort and quality of life.

    As part of hospice support, I offer custom herbal TCM and Ayurvedic therapies, oils and liniments

  • I offer comprehensive support throughout pregnancy, labor/birth, and postpartum. My focus is on holistic, family-centered care.

    During labor, I provide nourishing physical and emotional support for the mother and her partner, caring for their needs so that they may be present in birth together.

    After birth, I continue to support families through newborn care, breastfeeding, and navigating the transition into parenthood.

    My approach is personalized to my client's needs and values, ensuring that both the mother and her family are nurtured and deeply cared for every step of the way.

  • Placenta encapsulation is a process where the placenta is carefully prepared, dehydrated, and ground into capsules that can be taken by the new mother postpartum.

    Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, this practice is believed to help restore balance, replenish energy, and support healing after birth by boosting postpartum recovery. The placenta is thought to replenish vital nutrients, support hormone regulation, and improve milk production.

    Many mothers report increased energy, reduced postpartum bleeding, and a smoother emotional transition after taking placenta capsules.

  • As a postpartum doula trained in traditional healing modalities, I provide holistic, nurturing care to support your recovery after birth.

    Drawing from practices like herbal remedies, belly binding, and massage, I help your body heal and regain strength while honoring your individual needs. I also offer overnight care, allowing you to rest while I assist with newborn care, breastfeeding support, and help you adjust to life with your new baby.
